This excellent basketball video highlights the basketball showmanship career of Sandy 'Spin' Slade. She is one of the very few individuals in basketball history to create a full-time career by being a one-person basketball entertainer at assembly school shows, N.B.A. halftime shows, basketball camps, etc.
Sandy is highly skilled in trick basketball dribbling, spinning and juggling. She can spin eight basketballs simultaneously upon her body. She can also dribble four basketballs at one time. In addition she is one of the few people in basketball history who can juggle simultaneously four basketballs. I only know of two people in basketball history who can juggle five basketballs at one time.
Sandy is one of the best basketball solo show entertainers in the world. She was originally inspired by Tanya Crevier of South Dakota whom is simply amazing.
This video should have focused more upon Sandy's trick basketball handling skills. It could have shown her explaining the step-by-step mechanics of how to perfect these unusual talents. I perform one-person basketball trick shooting comedy and inspirational/motivational shows myself. Consequently I can empathize with Sandy in the nervous jitters of preparing for a show. Also, some times no matter how incredible one's trick skills are, the aspiration of being an inspiration can still be difficult.
Sandy only demonstrates one basketball trick shot in this video ( shooting the basketball off the spin of the forefinger into the basket ). Consequently, don't expect Sandy to be one of basketball history's most amazing basketball trick shooters ( which is my basketball entertainment show specialty ). Sandy 'Spin' Slade is quite simply one of basketball history's greatest trick basketball handlers.
This video is one of the few basketball videos ever marketed by a solo show entertainer since such videos are usually very difficult to secure sponsorship. So timely in today's world.
I expected to be entertained by this video...and was...but the biggest message was addressed to all the people watching it who have a dream. It gives them the courage to believe in themselves and feel good about it while it subtly tells the bullies to understand that we are all different and to appreciate that difference. A great tool for improving self esteem without sounding preachy!

What an awe-inspiring video this is! I bought it based on the recommendation of a friend who informed me that this video delivers the kind of message that all kids need to hear BEFORE they end up in a bad situation. Prevention is the key.

I was amazed at Sandy's skill and dedication but what will stay with me longer are the lessons she speaks of: overcoming fears; never giving up on your dreams; with hard work, you can do it all. Drawing on personal experiences, you get to know this phenomenal athlete and motivational speaker - where she gets the energy is beyond me.

This is a must buy for everyone as Sandy inspires and amazes all. You definitely won't be disappointed by purchasing this video.

You will be mesmerized by Sandy Slade's skills, her hard work, determination, and dedication, and be blown away by her struggles to overcome rejection and ridicule by her peers and others who did not share her vision in life. A wonderful bonus is Sue Willet's song, "I Can Fly" as this soundtrack epitomizes and is utilized as the backdrop of Sandy's life. Sandy inspires others to believe in themselves so that they, too, can fly. This video should be in the hands of every school board as a tool for teachers to motivate and inspire children to never give up on their dreams and all who have ever struggled and want to inspire others to believe in themselves. What a unique and fresh look at the gift of a human heart and how that heart inspires others!
