Great Introduction
This tape was a great introduction to the art of bellydancing for the novice. I appreciate the other reviews that prompted me to purchase it.

the tape that started it all...
my friend gave me this tape, she'd never tried it, was still unopened. i tried it once but didn't make it past the arms part because i was too impatient. four months later i threw it on and
discovered that i really love bellydance! this tape will show you step by step breakdown how to do the basic moves of bellydance and put together a dance that both looks great and is easy to follow. veena and neena are great teachers. i have since bought many more of their tapes/dvds along with other teachers but i still go back to this one because i like the music, the pace and i still need help with my turns. if you've never done bellydance, let this program introduce you to this beautiful dance. highly recommended!!!

Amazing!
Basic Dance was one of my first introductory videos into the art of Belly Dance. It was the most helpful and continues to be. First I used it to learn bellydance. Then I still used it to practice, and now I'm using the choreography for my school's diversity night! The rich Egyptian style music never gets boring and gives you a taste of the MiddleEast. Veena and Neena have an easy and sensual approach to teaching the bellydance moves that'll transform you into the Goddess that you are! It's fun, low-impact but effective, sensual, liberating, and a true artform! If you're interested in Bellydane than trust me this video is the BEST start you could find. All their other videos are also fantastic too! Also, this video's great if you're an instructor looking for a choreography to teach your beginner students!

this tape is challenging, fun, easy, exhausting and exciting all at the same time. they actually teach coordination! it's a wonderful tape.

Great, but short
They are really good at breaking down the moves. Sometimes they tends to move their camera to wrong places, but over all instruction is great, but once you learn the steps the actual dance itself is only 3-4 mins long.
