I guess it will do.
These hold the charge a little better then originals, but nothing out of the ordinary. The price is ridiculous for a product that was not improved significantly. there is no reason why they could not go with a LiIon battery as a replacement.

This battery was an OEM battery, exactly as advertised. It has given my old cordless drill some much needed new life.

Porter Cable 12-V battery
I have had my Porter Cable 12-volt drill for several years. The drill still works well. It is less expensive to replace batteries than purchase a new drill with comparable power and reliability. The new battery works very well.

The batteries we received would not hold a charge. Amazon is replacing them at no cost and we hope the next ones will be fresh and ready to use.
