Helpful for New Walkers
My little girl was crusing around holding furniture before we got this toy for her first birthday and it helped her get the confidence to step out on her own. Now that she's walking, she still enjoys pushing it around the room (we use it on a carpeted surface). She also loves to push its nose to hear the music.

One con -we have a small living room and she runs out of floor space pretty fast and doesn't know how to turn!

I'm looking forward to putting the seat down and having her test it as a ride toy. We tried this option recently, but she wasn't sure what to do with her feet.

Works great for our beginner walker...
We got this toy for my son who is just starting to walk holding on to things. It took him a few days to figure it out, but he now loves walking with the lion. It's still a slow process since he is an early walker at this stage, but I can see how it will become a lot more fun as his walking develops. He also enjoys sitting on the lion and being pushed by us. All in all, I would recommend this as a first walker (on carpeted surfaces).

Very impressed
Our son was 10 1/2 months old when he got this toy from his Grandparents. Although he is still a little on the clingy side, he does let go of me for longer and longer periods of time while using it. I stand behind him to keep him balanced while he is using it in the walker mode, though. It seems to be helping him gain strength and confidence with each time he uses it. I do encourage anyone with a baby or toddler around this age to buy this toy. Incidently, our neighbour babysits a baby who is two weeks younger than our son, and when she is here we let the two babies play alongside each other. The little girl just loves the lion and she seems to know just what to do with it!

A must-have toy
My neighbor told me I had to buy this for my granddaughter...her son loves it and so do all of his little friends...each mother was forced to purchase one, I'm told...so I bought one and I'm so glad I did...my granddaughter absolutely loves it and has been charging around the house with it "like a maniac" since day one...today she took her official first steps but they were more like leaps, my daughter says...she darted from point A to B then C...and X,Y,Z...opting to step over everything in her path verses detouring for any obstacles - animal, vegetable, or mineral...lol...I think this lion gives little ones the courage to "let go"...mothers know what I mean...I thought the seat looked too wide to ride comfortably but the toddler next door has no problem scooting about on his, so I guess not...great deal here with free shipping and $8 under MSRP.

What a fun toy!
This is a great toy to introduce and teach your youngster how to walk and give them an outlet to burn off some energy! Easy to put together, very durable yet hasn't damaged our furniture or walls when they come into contact. Not only is it the cutest toy to look at, the songs that go along with it are great and we enjoy listening to them (unlike some other children's toys we've heard). You can even turn the music/songs off if you wish. Our 10 month old learned to use it after 3 attempts and its been non stop fun for her. She has yet to learn how to sit and ride on it but its great to be able to have several options of play with this toy. Great value!
