Love, love, love it!
My son has loved this puppy since he was only a few weeks old (he is now 9 months). He loves the singing...it always puts a smile on his face, and he loves squeezing the different parts to make sounds (loves the cause/effect). The only thing is the ear doesn't work anymore. But, I think it's because the little one chewed on it too much and broke it. Anyway, it's still a great toy and he's had so much fun with it!

Cute toy but you have to turn it off after every use!!!
First off we really like this toy. It is great teaching kids all the different body parts. We would give it a 5 star except that our kids rarely play with it. Even when it was brand new they had very little interest in it. We have a 1 , 2, and 3 year old. All boys.

The other reason for the lower star rating is because the toy almost gave my husband a heart attack and has sense been turned off and put in storage.

We have always kept it off because the boys never really touch it. One day they were playing with it and so I turned it on. Playtime was less than 5 minutes and I forgot to turn it off. The next day we left town for a few days leaving my husband at home alone. The second night we were gone at about 3am the toy woke up. My husband woke up to the toy saying "i see you".....my husband woke up with an almost heart attack. He ran into the hallway looking for a crazy person only to hear "i need a hug". He then realized that it was a toy by the sound of the voice and location from which it was coming from. He was furious and we no longer have the toy.

So 3 stars due to having to turn it off after every single use. Parents remember things like nap time if you forget to turn it off not to mention bed time.

Great toy to dance to!
My daughter loves this puppy! She got it when she was 5 months old, but didn't really start to play with it until about 9 months. Now she is 11 months old and really loves to press everything that plays a sound and loves to dance with the puppy. It's adorable and keeps her entertained for longer than many of her toys. I highly recommend this one!

POOPY PUPPY
I BOUGHT THIS PUPPY FOR MY ALMOST TWO YEAR OLD GRANDSON. AT FIRST IT SEEMED ENTERTAINING TO HIM BUT NOT FOR LONG. KIDS TEND TO WANT TO DO TOO MANY THINGS AT ONCE, ARE VERY EAGER AND THE PUPPY DID NOT ALWAYS RESPOND PROPERLY OR RESPONDED INCORRECTLY IN PROPORTION TO THE INDICATED AREAS OF RESPONSE. IT OFTEN GOES OFF BY ITSELF AS WELL. SO DON'T EXPECT THIS LITTLE PUP TO HOLD UP WELL OR FOR LONG IF YOUR CHILD IS EAGER AND IMPATIENT. OTHERWISE IT SEEMS TO BE A GOOD LEARNING TOOL BUT IT DOES NOT RECITE THE ENTIRE ALPHABET. PRESS ONE AREA AT A TIME SLOWLY AND HOPEFULLY IT WILL RESPOND CORRECTLY. GOOD LUCK!

Adorable and long-lasting
My son got this cute little puppy as a gift Christmas 2006. Now a year a half later, it's still going strong - no problems, no broken chips, no non-working parts. AND, it's one of the precious few toys that he STILL has interest in. He was under a year when he got it, is now over 2 years old, and will still pick him up and press the body parts and say the colors and names and stuff. (His favorite is making the puppy sneeze! Very cute.) He doesn't really actively play with him anymore - he's a bit too old now - but he DOES still mess with him briefly and will NOT let me donate him as we do with some of his other outgrown toys.

Now, okay, he's gentle with his stuffed animals generally and this little guy hasn't been abused or played with hard, but we haven't had ANYthing go wrong in this year and half that we've had him.

The "long-lasting" in my title not only meant durability, but long-lasting interest, too. That last part is the most amazing to me. Wish more toys kept his interest this long.

Definitely a good choice for a little one!
