Avg Customer Rating:
Product Description: Offering invaluable sightseeing tips, advice on fun activities, and detailed descriptions of campgrounds, this grand tour of Mexico’s Baja Peninsula provides both RV and tent campers with the best resources for planning a vacation chock-full of beachcombing, back-roads exploring, golf, fishing, whale watching, and water sports. The tour centers around one of the most interesting highways in the world—a two-lane ribbon of asphalt winding southward to Cabo San Lucas, from the Pacific Ocean to the Sea of Cortez and back again—and includes important information on border crossings, document requirements, vehicle preparation, and road conditions. In addition to describing the formal campgrounds of Baja—and featuring location maps, recreational opportunities, lists of facilities, and driving instructions from nearby towns and routes—this guide also provides telephone numbers, websites, e-mail addresses, GPS coordinates, and picture icons that offer a convenient, quick review of each campground.

Customer Reviews
Thorough and detailed guidebook
Although this book is definitely oriented toward RV camping, it is extremely thorough and detailed with much better information about Baja campgrounds than is included in general travel guides. We tent camped in Baja for two weeks and used this book extensively, and we were never disappointed with the quality of the information. The authors very helpfully give a bit of the flavor/atmosphere of each campground, and include other very useful information about gas stations, side trips, nearby attractions, etc. I would definitely purchase another guidebook in this series!

Should be titled RV camping in Mexico.
All in all not a bad guidebook but definitely geared towards RV camping. We spent our time camping in tents and on beaches and this guidebook left a little to be desired.

very practical and thorough
this was recommended to me by a very experienced RV camper as one of the best authors for camping guides. I was not disappointed.

It is exactly what I sought
This book explains very well the risk of the voyage. It gives very good tricks. One suggests there a way to take and there is the list of all the camp-site. Very nice purchase for me.
