The New One Leaked Worse Than My Old One!
After receiving this item I installed it right away. I followed the instructions exactly as they were printed on the outside of the package. When I turned on the water supply I noticed water was dripping out of the end of the new unit. The water was not coming from where the water hose connects, and was not leaking around the threads. It was actually coming out the hole where air is drawn in to mix with the water. I removed the unit, removed the inner parts and reassembled the unit, making sure everything was seated properly. After installing the unit and turning on the water, again, it began leaking from the same place. I repeated these steps with exactly the same results. I finally decided to take the inner components out of the new unit and installed them into the original (old) unit that I had bought this new device to replace. After installation I turned on the water supply and did not notice any water leaking from the unit.
It has been about a month since I performed this repair and everything is working OK; and with no water leaks. I have no idea why the new unit leaked but at least I was able to take parts from the new unit to repair my old, factory installed unit. Overall I am happy that my Flushmaster pressure flush tank is repaired. Hopefully other buyers of this item will not suffer from the leaking problem that I had with mine.
