Product Description: Responsibility, perseverance, and ingenuity are virtues that serve a young gingerbread boy well along a journey of self-discovery. Based on the Candy Land board game, this 55-minute animated adventure begins with a young gingerbread boy named Jib setting off toward the Candy Castle with an offering of special gingerbread icing to present to the King for the "Sweet Celebration" ceremony. At the Castle, King Kandy appoints his rather irresponsible daughter Princess Lolly to appear at the ceremony, stressing that she must bring her royal scepter to ensure the continued blossoming of everything sweet in Candy Land. Jib hurries along the colorful path to the Kingdom, meeting new friends Mr. Mint and Jolly along the way, while the sneaky Licorice Bites steal Princess Lolly's scepter to further Lord Licorice's evil plan to turn Candy Land into Licorice Land. A chance meeting between Jib and Princess Lolly leads the two to join forces against Lord Licorice, but can they possibly recover the scepter and make it to the Candy Castle in time for the celebration? Almost have it memorized...
I can't tell you how many times I've seen this movie. But I can tell you that it never gets old. It's a great tale of how the best gift in life is what you give of yourself. A good message. My daughter watches this movie over and over.

Great kid's movie!!!
This is a wonderful movie for children of all ages. The beautiful colors in the movie help keep the kids entertained throughout.

Great DVD for Children Who Love Candy Land Game
We bought this DVD out of the blue since our 4-year old daughter was interested in the characters on the Candy Land game board. This movie does a great job bringing all the characters to life. The presentation is highly professional: great songs; quality artwork. The storyline is simple but understandable. If your child is interested in the game Candy Land, you can't go wrong.

Better than Expected...
I bought this for my child because she loves the board game, but had very low expectations for it's quality and story. I was pleasently surprised, however, that it's fairly well done with a good story and excellent music. It has quickly become a favorite. Hope they produce more.

Great Video for Preschoolers
My son's preschool regularly requests this video because it entertains the 2years olds through the 6 year olds.
