Love it, Love it, Love it
I bought this because my daughter would only go to sleep in her swing that had lights and a mobile and seeing that she is getting heavier by the day and won't be able to fit in there much longer I needed another solution. I also wanted to break her of the habit of having to be moving in order to fall asleep. However, she would NOT sleep at all if I just put her in her crib. I bought this item not expecting much and it has been a life saver. She is 5 months old doesn't really watch the part on the soother itself but LOVES the overhead projection and that is what gets her to sleep.
It is supposed to turn on after 7 seconds of noise but that does not always work because if she is "talking" it starts over when she pauses so by the time that she is going for 7 seconds straight she is screaming by that point and it won't work because she is so upset. My husband and I just go in and turn it on and it works better for us that way.
The other thing that I was disappointed in was that it doesn't fit a convertible crib very easily. We have to have it at the end of the crib becuase the straps are not long enough to wrap around on the side rail. That is actually the reason she doesn't watch the soother itself because she can't really see it the way she is positioned in the crib. I am going to try to do something so I can attach it to the side of the crib so she can watch it.
I highly recommend this product if your LO won't go to sleep!

Sucks batteries dry fast!
My daughter loves this thing. As mentioned the motor is a little noisy but it wasn't bad. It was sort of like "white noise". It's very cute, she loved the lights and especailly the music. The light show for the ceiling broke after 6 mo. I just kept it off anyway because with that on I was replacing batteries in just a week. I can't afford new C batteries (4) every week. When will they ever start designing things like this that plug in to the outlet???

Love it
We bought this for our son when he was 3 months old (it was the cheapest and yet most feature rich at the time). He is now 13months and still loves it. I love that he uses it at night to get himself back to sleep. We have travelled a lot (home 2weeks, gone 2weeks..) and this has been all we need to keep him sleeping like he does at home. It did develop the grinding squeak but it fixed itself after a month. It didn't bother him so I didn't let it bother me. He loves the projector light, if I dont turn it on - thats what eats the batteries up!!! - he immediately gets up and turns it on for himself. I just invested in rechargable batteries and would gladly buy another one of these.

Great product...poor manufacturing!!
I bought this for my 7 month old to replace his mobile and he loves it! My only problem is a horrible crank noise it makes when the wheel turns and the fact that it eats C batteries like caviar! I don't mind the battery part because he does play with it before falling asleep to the music and I can always tell when he wakes up because he turns it on. I like the different light selections and the projector and the different choices of music is great too. My 2 year old nephew and my 5 year old son both love to play with it and want their own.

Pain in the tooshie...
Lots of things I like about it- easy to attach to crib, sweet to look at, good varieties of programs. I enjoy the music selections as well.
Cons- as soon as I got it- the lightbulb for the ceiling show faded out and is impossible to replace. First off it is very difficult to find the correct replacement bulb, second once you take the bulb out of the unit, it is very difficult to get back in. Then I thought perhaps it was a battery issue. Tried new ones, didn't help. The instructions in the online manual didn't help.
I too, found this product to be too squeaky to be able to focus on the music. If I ever get the light fixed on it, perhaps I'll try and fix that as well. But no product should be this much work. It's unique and a great concept, but has a lot of room for improvement.
