WS-7013BZ weather station
First off, get this one and not the WS-7013TWC, also sold by Amazon. The 'BZ' unit comes with a remote sensor and is cheaper than the 'TWC' which doesn't come with a remote sensor. Go figure. I guess it is like airline fares. Anyway, the unit, although it is a bit on the small side does it job well. I had an older La Crosse base station, which gave up the ghost, so I replaced it with this one. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the new one immediately paired with the old remote unit, so now I have two remote units. Nice! The batteries, especially on the remote have lasted a long time. (The old remote unit is on its original battery from 3 years ago.

It's okay --
I bought this for my elderly father so that he would be able to keep track of the temperature inside the house as well as outside -- and it does. I probably wouldn't buy this unit again though. The digital display is difficult to read - contrast is poor. Also, the remote temperature sensors have a very low range - they won't work if you're more than 20' away.

Wireless
I am waiting to give this as a gift. But from what I can see with it this is going to be very handy.

Great Gift
Not only did I buy one for myself, but also gave 2 away as gifts.
Keep the external sensor out of the sun otherwise you will have false readings. Due to the shortish range, I moved the sensor to an upstairs window and used velco to attach so I could keep the display unit in my bedroom.

La Crosse Technology WS-7013BZ Wireless Temperature Station
I bought two units--one for downstairs and one for upstairs. I then set up the remote sending units in separate locations. It was easy to set the main units so that they could report on the temperature in three locations--at the unit itself and from the two remote locations. It has been several years now and the batteries aprear to last in excess of a year and the units still work just fine.
