Customer Reviews

4 stars Keep out of direct sunlight
Work's great. Just make sure the outside unit is out of direct sunlight or it will say it is much hotter than it is.

1 stars Doesn't receive through walls
Simply, this product doesn't work.

The receiver doesn't receive the outside sensor signal through an outside wall. If you place the sensor within ten feet without walls, it works fine, but it does not fulfill its description.

Avoid this product!

5 stars Performs fantastically
I received this $15 us-appliance yesterday, inserted batteries in the wireless sensor and weather/time station, and the two units immediately communicated with each other. I live more than 2200 miles east of Ft. Collins, Colorado, but the very night after I installed the remote station on a north-facing wall it displayed the tower icon, indicating receipt of the atomic time signal. Accurate and dependable.

1 stars CAUTION - Doesn't adjust PST/PDT on the new schedule.
My La Crosse clock does not reset/adjust itself on the new PST/PDT time schedule. We live on the west coast near Watsonville, Ca. The clock resets on the old schedule and there is no way to adjust or correct it. Customer support will not even consider such a problem and suggest putting in a fresh battery, which I did but of course didn't work.

3 stars Adequate, but not great
The thermometer seems to perform as it is supposed to and although I haven't tested the extreme range of the remote sensors, they perform adequately, the outside sensor is located approximately fifty feet from the base unit and through two walls.

My main complaint is that when it arrived there was a loose part inside. I installed batteries and it worked, but the part rattling inside was annoying. Being single and working long hours made it inconvenient to return. After about a month the unit would not receive the remote signals. I opened it up and found that the antenna for receiving the atomic clock signal had come unglued and was hanging by the leads. In my opinion it was poor construction and poor engineering to use only a dob of glue to hold a rod antenna in place. Other than that accuracy and ease of use seem reasonable.
