2 stars Not for me
I absolutely HATE digital displays on ANYTHING that are not backlit. This clock having an AC cord, I expected that it would be backlit ALL THE TIME. It's only backlit when you walk over and push a button, and then only for a few seconds. This means that in low light you can barely read the thing. If it stayed backlit or offered the option of it, I'd give it plenty of stars.

5 stars It works and works well
This product is attractive, simple and does just what it claims it will do. The combination of time and outdoor temperature projected clearly on the ceiling is perfect if you're an early riser. Its also great for knowing just how much time you have to sleep with a quick glance if you wake up during the night. The alarm works well, but the light up function can be a little bright for the person next to you who may want to sleep in. The weather forecasting function may work, but I really don't have the need to get my weather from a bedside clock. Overall, it does what I need it to do flawlessly.

5 stars I'm very happy with it
I bought this clock over 1 month ago and love it. I was getting ready to order a second one to take to my office when I read the 1 review out there on it - and it was very negative.

I don't have a PhD (a graduate degree, but not a doctorate) and I didn't find it overly taxing to set up...of course, I read the directions. (Hint - there is a slide switch on the side of the clock to turn the projector on and off, and the clock must be plugged in [i.e. not using just the batteries] for the projection to stay on). The projection is very vivid, and there is an adjustment for focus and one to rotate the display. The projection displays the temperature from the second sensor and the time. It did take overnight for the clock to receive a signal from Ft. Collins...of course you can set it manually until it receives the signal. One draw back (and I have read this on other atomic clocks), the back-light does not stay lit - I guess at night you can always just glance at the ceiling (or wall) to get the time.

1 stars Save Your Money
This clock was entirely too complicated for me to operate. It might work for you if you have a PhD. And the service from the company is terrible. After I spent three hours trying to set up the clock and figured out it wasn't working correctly (the projector wouldn't stay on), I wrote to the company. Five days later no response. I returned it to Amazon - no problem.

Buy a LaCrosse. Directions are easy to understand and the clock works great. Can't say how their service is because I haven't had to use it.
