Product Description: Conquer the limits of space and time with this cable-free radio-frequency thermometer from Oregon Scientific. Tuning in to as many as three remote units at once, this thermometer helps monitor the four corners of your kingdom from one base unit. The kit includes one remote sensor, which can be stationed up to 120 feet away and sends signals every 30 seconds. The main unit's LCD screen lets you assign a channel to each remote, and then scroll through the menu as necessary. You can also set temperature range limits, program alarms, and recall recent highs and lows at each location. A temperature-trend icon reveals whether temperatures are rising, steady, or dropping. The thermometer's base-unit range is 23 to 122 degrees F, while the remote sensor runs from -58 to 158 degrees F. Both units feature an optional Centigrade scale. Designed for the desktop or the wall, each piece of equipment requires two AA batteries. --Emily Bedard

Customer Reviews
As advertised
The thermometer works works in all kinds of weather as advertised. Even through 2 brick walls the receiver very rarely drops the read. Very easy to nandle and even my Mom who never trusts new things, started to love it after few days.

Works Great!
This has been a very good product for the first three months. Works well through the walls and windows. My remote sensor is about 25 feet away through a wall, and it connected very quickly and remains connected. Previous units I have had from other manufacturers have not worked as well. The readout has large numbers, and is very easy to read.
Note that one remote sensor comes packaged with the indicator unit.

Great Technical Gizmo!
The Oregon Scientific wireless Multi-Channel Thermometer (ASIN:B00005NN9D) is terrific! I live in an apartment and have placed the remote unit on a table on my balcony. The main unit is on a table in my living room. I always know what the temperature is -- inside and out! How nice not to have an ugly thermometer hanging on the wall outside.
I had a bit of trouble understanding how to set the channel so the unit would work, but I finally hit the right combination, and both the inside and outside temperatures were revealed on the screen. The numbers are large enough for even those whose eyesight is not what it used to be.
This item would make a nice gift for close friends. I love mine!

good product
Very satisfied with product. Good to have AAA batteries instead of watch battery type, cheaper and last longer.

Huge Disappointment
This product is lame. Half the time I receive the flat line bars and the remote unit is 5 feet away separated by a single pane of glass. I have the pix to prove it. Tech support was worthless and told me they did not have a replacement to send me! They said contact Amazon! Shame on Amazon for carrying products from Oregon Scientific. My next stop is the Better Business Bureau.
