4 stars Good game
Acme Arsenal is a good game and is fun to play. I have been playing the game with my 6 year old grandson and with my 23 year old autistic son. We enjoy the action. We have found that using the horizontal split-screen works best for us. My autistic son likes watching Warner Brothers animated videos so he is familiar with the characters. He does not have the ability to really control the characters but he enjoys watching me going through the first level. My grandson and I have only been through the first two levels so far, but we have had fun doing that. This is certainly not the best Wii game out there but I think it is worth trying.

2 stars What seemed like a good idea, Was a complete disappointment
My brother and I picked up this game because we thought it would be a great action game with nice multiplayer, almost like a Loony Tunes version of Ratchet and Clank (Which is what they make it seem like.) Turns out, it was a disappointment. The idea of this game was good, it's just that they didn't execute it very well. The controls is my biggest complaint. They were kind of confusing, and the "Spin the Nunchuk for a spin attack" Didn't even work most of the time. The story wasn't that great, It always takes forever to load, and the gameplay itself just wasn't very good. The only thing I have no complaints about are the graphics, but to me graphics are very unimportant. Do yourself a favor, and do not get this game.

4 stars kids love it
The kids love it, I got it for $25 which is a good deal I would not pay much more for it $30 tops.

3 stars Great Concept.. . . . Bad Followthrough. . . .
The game looked like it would be fun, and I think it probably is fun on one of the other platforms. But on the Wii, the controls are horrible. I bought it for my brother, and he pretty much lost interest in the game after two levels.

The graphics are iffy for this generation of games; the controls are bad on the Wii (of course I only really like playing Tennis on the Wii anyways); and it's not much fun when you can't go to town on the monsters. If you want this game, I suggest buying it for something other than the Wii.

I gave it more than one star overall, because I like the concept of rampaging around with a Looney Toons character. I think I just needed to buy it for the xbox.

2 stars What a disappointment
I really regret buying this game. Acme Arsenal fails on two levels, both as a video game and as a "Wii" game.

First, as a video game, Acme Arsenal is just a generic third-person shooter with a Looney Tunes look. You might as well be playing Tomb Raider. The game fails to capture the essence of Looney Tunes humor. Instead, you fight robots. Lots and lots of robots. Over and over again.

It should also be stated that the two-player split-screen mode was a really poor choice by the designers. As other reviewers have noted, the separate views for each player make it very easy for players to get separated. Furthermore the camera that follows your character is not very smart, so with only 1/2 of the screen, you will frequently find yourself in positions where you can't see the object onto which you need to jump.

Finally, as a "Wii" game, this is utterly uninspired. You twist and shake the controllers to perform attacks, but this is not any improvement over mashing button combinations. The movements are not natural or intuitive or fun.

What this game SHOULD have been was something along the lines of the Rayman Raving Rabbids games. Like the old Looney Tunes cartoons, Raving Rabbids is 5 or 10 minutes of crazy, laugh-out-loud fun.
