Product Description: This new RC robot from the XPV R.A.D. series -- which stands for Robotic Air Defense -- welcomes kids to the next generation of RC flying vehicles. The standing android transforms to drive on land and fly in the air. With a flight range of more than 300 feet, the Robotic Air Defense flies up to 30 miles per hour and higher than 20 stories, and is capable of performing incredible aerial stunts. Not only can this R.A.D. robot fly, but it can talk as well. The remote triggers user-controlled speaking and missile sounds. For added effect, when the robot speaks, its eyes light up.

Customer Reviews
XPV shadow hawk much better
I purchased two of these at Amazon. The first never flew, it only nosed into ground and then broke. The second I had some spectacular flights and was able to actually do barrel rolls and high speed passes. These planes are, however, extremly fragile. Even minor crashes would cause the stabilizer to become unglued. I was only able to keep the second one flying with lots of tape and glue. The flight times are also quite a bit shorter than the XPV shadow hawk.

XPV R.A.D. -- There's a reason it was on sale!
My son was so excited to get this toy for Christmas. We charged it, went to the park, and watched it fly for about 4 seconds before diving straight into the ground. No matter how many times we tried, the toy would invariably lose lift, and head straight for the ground. After five replays of the same performance, the wings cracked. We repaired the damage with high hopes, only to watch it's final, catastrophic nose dive and subsequent retirement. The promo videos of repeatable, sustained flight are misleading. There's a reason this item was available at such a great sale price. We wasted our money. Don't buy it, no matter how much they lower the price.

broke within a few mins
This toy is just styrofoam and BOTH arms broke off the first time my son used it. Needless to say he was a bit upset that Santa did not do a better job. I was expecting more from all the positive reviews. You need a LOT of open space (like a football field) for this toy to work. It is already in the back of the closet and forgotten.

Disappointment
My son had seen this on a commercial and absolutely wanted this for Christmas. Have not managed to get the thing to fly and have now ripped his leg off. It does come with a repair kit - that should give me a clue. What a disappointment.
