Product Description: A Mercenary's Rule: Everyone Pays Mercenaries 2: World in Flames is an explosive open-world action game set in a massive, highly reactive, war-torn world. When a power-hungry tyrant messes with Venezuela's oil supply he sparks an invasion that turns the country into a war zone. But for you, international crisis is all upside: You are a mercenary, and you profit from chaos. You are not a soldier. You don't have to play by anyone's rules. You have your own code: you will fulfill the terms of the contract, no matter what. If you see it, you can buy it, steal it, or blow the living crap out of it. Play your own way, or play with the help of a friend in the new co-op multiplayer mode. And remember rule #1 for mercenaries: EVERYBODY PAYS. |

Customer Reviews
Revenge is Sweet, Money is Sweeter.
Great Game, good for passing small amounts of time. or can be dove into for hours on end. Missions are far more difficult on this one, then they we're on the first Mercenaries. Some, Feel almost impossible.
Graphics - 5
game play - 5
sound - 5
cut scenes - 5
replay ability - 4
Overall - 5
The only down side that i have seen, is the fact that your Mission handler, LOVES TO REPEAT, almost everything she says.. Either get used to it, or mute it. it's always a good idea to rent it and try it before purchasing.

Mercs 2
Overall its not a bad game really. The graphics look a bit date, and the destruction system is subpar when compared to what we've seen in Battlefield: Bad Company, but for some good 'ol fashioned fun with blowing things up, you're not going to find a better choice than Mercenaries 2.

Like GTA w/ more explosions
The gameplay and story may not be as polished as GTA but then again you get to blow up many more things in this game. Looks pretty darn good as well.

Just like the title world in flames
Its like mercenaries 1 but polished...
More explosions, you can destroy practicaly everithing, lots of vehicles.
So if you are a fan of mercs 1 or you are a fan of big explosions this game is worth every penny...

Solid Renter, Don't Buy!!!!11!!!1
Okay, this game was a huge disappointment. The first mercs was awesome, this one just doesn't even seem done yet. I play xbox 360, and the graphics were TOTALLY SUBPAR! They would have been acceptable on xbox original, but they were far from next-gen. This game also has numerous OBVIOUS BUGS. For example, during the final cut-scene combo the camera glitched out, and while I completed the sequence, all I saw was some black lines smacking into a wall. WTF!? The overall gameplay is also SUBPAR, and has some VERRY ANNOYING things in it. For example, you loose money when you destroy civilian buildings. In a game where you can destroy anything, why do they make you pay for the destruction? The campaign and side missions are also EXTREMELY REPETITIVE. Oh well, I guess that doesn't matter considering the campaign only takes about 5 HOURS TO COMPLETE. I have also had problems with achievements unlocking (on xbox 360, and yes to me this is a big deal). For example one achievement is "Verify All HVTs." Under game progress is says "HVTs Verified: 55/55," yet no achievement. Overall, this game is proof that EA ruins good games and I give it 3*s, although I think it should receive less. This game wouldn't be acceptable on xbox original, and on 360 it is a JOKE! If you are curious, go rent it (a recreational gamer only playing the main story could do it in 6 hours, easy), but please I beg of you, save your money and get a good game like Fable II or Fallout 3 or you will regret ever buying this $60 half baked cookie-with-a-hole-in-it.
