Product Description: Overlord is an Xbox 360 exclusive that takes role-playing and action conventions and flips them on their head. You're exploring the legendary Overlord's Dark Tower when you discover you've inherited the legacy of the evil, long-dead Overlord. As you emerge near-death, you decide to rise as the new Overlord -- and you'll have to decide how evil you're willing to get. Played out with plenty of black humour and dark irony, the game will immerse players in twisted parodies of classic fantasy scenarios and characters.

3 stars Glitchlord
I think this game has alot of potential, and if it wasn't for all the glitches,I'd give this game a 5.

Three hours into the game, the camera angle becomes stuck to a bird's eye point of view and will not allow me to change it back.I can push the L button and use the thumbstick to move the camera back, but as soon as I let go,the camera swoops back up in the sky making the game awkward and ultimatly unplayable.

The game WILL NOT allow me to give the food back to the peasents. My minions will walk right up to the edge of where they are supposed to set the food and then stop. Thus,I HAVE to choose the evil option otherwise I can't continue on with the game.

Many times my minions become lost or stuck on objects;other times they just seem to disappear for no reason.

There are also other glitches I have read about online, most notably the game crashing bug of the dwarven brewery and teleporting rather than taking the elevator up.Supposedly this results in forever losing the spoke to the wheel and not being able to continue.

There is another glitch with Velvet if you power up your tower at a certain time...

This would be a perfect game if it weren't for all the glitches and bugs.
Shame on the developers for not taking the proper time to test their product before releasing it to the masses.

As much as I would like to play through this game and see the ending, the countless mistakes in this game prevent me from doing so...

All hail the Glitchlord.

3 stars Fun...but lacking....
The game is good. It has alot of customizable elements that make you get into the mode of "just one more level" that plagues all serious gamers.

What makes is fun is that you can loot and pillage with an army of underlings until your heart's content. You can build and upgrade your castle and own effects as you gain certain levels, equipment, and most importantly...gold.

The problem is that 90% of the upgrades to your castle do nothing. They're just asthetic value. And until you get the final forge, your weaponry is pretty worthless against some foes. And forget about harvesting the maximum amount of goblins, because that takes for-ev-er.

4 stars Just plain fun.
This game is quite a bit of fun considering it had little to no hype. That being said, I couldn't rate it very high without lying to myself about parts of the game clearly take from others. The game play is taken right out of Pikmin, but I personally find it to be more enjoyable than Pikmin, just as other will like Pikmin more than this. In my opinion the controls are more streamlined and easier to use than those from Pikmin, making the game a whole lot more enjoyable. As for the visuals and Audio, it all looks and sounds like it was ripped right from Fable for the original Xbox. Although the graphics are a bit shinier than those of Fable's, with a stronger frame rate. The twist to this game that I find refreshing is that you're evil, you can't choose sides between good and evil, you're just plain evil. The goblins that do your bidding are fantastic, and its fun just to watch them run through a town destroying everything in sight, then bringing you treasure and exclaiming "For you! My lord!". The humor is off and on, sometimes I found it to be pretty funny, and at other times I was wondering if it was written by toddlers. Overall I would say at least give the game a try, you may have an enjoyable time with it. Just don't expect anything truly innovative.

3 stars Fun Game, but not Great
This game was a lot of fun to play, it is a little deceptive at first because its cartoon style makes it appear juvenile, but the content and gameplay is probably more suited for teen and older.
The games puzzles aren't so hard that they distract from the gameplay, but they can be tedious and annoying. The gameplay is pretty fun, the combat style is a little different from most games of the genre, which keeps it interesting for a while.
Overall, its a fun game, but it can be pretty silly. If cartoonish images and silly dialogue try your patience then I wouldn't reccomend it.

4 stars Lord Dictator Supreem or just LordTader for short
Really fun game and I liked the fact that even though your an evil overlord they still let you choose to be good a lot. I would have to say it has an average replay value but they get kudos for just how fun and humorous it is.
