Not the best for Street Fighter
Not does this arcade stick create a lot of noise which people can hear through the xbox live mic its just not the best for quarter circle fireballs especially if you have to do the double quarter-circle forward for supers. You can do them most of the time but sometimes you do only a punch forward which is not good when you are fighting someone. The orginal xbox 360 controller (using the left stick) does a better job with throwing fireballs. I'm sending mine back. If you don't believe me watch the video on Youtube.com. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sNyqRpPebJI&feature=related You can tell the guy knows how to play but the arcade stick does the same thing to him as it did me. You can really see it at about 2min into the video. I'm going to buy the Arcade in a box ([...]). Although its expensive it will give me an excellent arcade still that won't negatively affect game play.

Great Buy if youre into fighting games
i just bought this at the store. with shipping it is near the same price if you were to buy it gamestop or eb games or whatever. i have heard people mention other games like dead or alive 4 and vitura fight 5. Well, this thing is compatible with Soul Calibur 4. I have to get used to it but the joystick responds very well. even though it is not wireless and is noisy it is worth getting if you wanna pull off all those moves in fighting games. I reccomend this to everyone. in my opinion, if youre not into fighting games much you might wanna save your money. Otherwise, pick this up!

Great arcade stick for your 360 and your PC
This is another high quality fighting stick from Hori that upholds the reputation of their fighting sticks for other platforms. If you love arcade style games (especially fighting games), you will enjoy the feeling of using this control.
One of the best things about this product is that it will increase your enjoyment of all your arcade style Xbox Live Arcade games as well as current fighting games. It can also be used with your PC.
The quality of the arcade stick is more of the same for Hori. The stick itself is very responsive and well suited for fighting game moves that require finesse. The control face features the B,X,Y and A,RT,LT in typical fighting game configuration, great for practically all fighting games. However, RB and LB are located at the top edge along with Start, Back, and the Dashboard button which effectively places LB and RB out of reach during heated play. A feature that I always felt was overlooked in Hori fighting sticks is the heavy plate on the bottom of the control. This prevents you from lifting or moving the stick around on your desk or tabletop surface during play. Of course, the joystick functions as a D-Pad, not an analog stick.
This (like other Hori fighting sticks) is an EXTREMELY accurate and responsive control which makes it wonderful for most players. However, I have encountered some guest players who were not accustomed to using an accurate control and needed a little time adjusting to it.
The controller is NOT wireless and uses a USB cable to connect to the Xbox 360 console or PC. The Xbox Live headset can be connected to the controller on the edge facing you.
When connecting to your XP (and probably Vista) PC, it is recognized and given a default driver that works great with practically any application. Some software might require the use of a different driver. There are custom drivers out there if you don't mind doing some tinkering.
Overall, this is a great product that will provide you with more accurate control than the D-Pad and more fun playing arcade style games.

Must have accessory for fighting games & classic arcade games
I received my Hori FS EX 2 yesterday and must say that I really like it! It has a very solid feel to it and it simple to use. The joystick is really responsive and makes a clicking noise that reassures you that you made the correct movement. I've played this stick on the following fighting games:
* DOA 3
* DOA 4
* Virtua Fighter 5
* Rumble Roses XX
Pros:
- Auto-recognized on DOA 4. When playing VS mode, you'll now see a picture of the FS EX 2, as opposed to the wireless game pad on the screen. I thought that was cool, even though the picture reflected the original DOA FS EX 2, which has been discontinued.
- Real easy to use and customize (granted if the game allows you to customize the functions of the buttons).
- Solid base and non slip rubber points on the bottom.
Cons:
- The clicking noise does get annoying after a while
- The FS EX 2 is not compatible with all games - especially games that use the left analog controller. You'll be able to start the game, but you won't be able to move the object (craft, person, etc.)
- Not wireless
Over all, I'm giving this fighting stick a 5. I think it's well worth the money and a must have for fighting games and classic games that you'll find on Xbox Live (like Galaga, Pac-Man, Asteroids, etc.) For fighting games, this stick makes it much easier to perform your moves, when compared to the game pad.

The Hori Fighting Stick in my opinion
I'm new to the fighting game genre being mainly an FPS
(First Person Shooter)gamer, but I decided to try Dead or Alive 4 for the Xbox 360 and as most fighters know the 360 controller isn't exactly ideal for these types of games so I had many options as far different controllers go, but since I like to explore different ways to play I choose the more traditional arcade stick. Basically since I purchased this peripheral my execution has improved dramatically. It takes a little getting used to as far as learning how to hold the actual joystick, and where to put the entire unit(lap or table), but once you get used to it you should notice improvement in your game. Also and I haven't confirmed this, but I have heard that this is almost neccessary for most to effectively play Virtua Fighter 5. In conclusion I am satisfied with my purchase.
